Now and Next boards offer one of the simplest ways of communicating what is happening - by just showing the next two things coming up. This allows someone to feel calm and settled by knowing what is happening next. It comes in espcially handy when getting someone to complete a task they might not want to do by showing them what comes afterwards. For example, 'homework' then 'tablet'. Combine it with a sand timer to show when they need to finish an activity they love, and show what will come next e.g. 'tablet' then 'dinner.
