FAQS

Wippet and you

Wippet is a B2B marketplace for the care sector. A website where you can buy everything you need as a care provider from a wide range of different suppliers, making the weekly job of buying the things you need simpler. You can find all our suppliers here.

A marketplace is as old as time – a place where buyers and sellers meet to trade. Wippet is just a digital version for the modern world we live in. Wippet brings together all the suppliers you need in one place to sell their goods and services - saving valuable time for busy care professionals. So, although you pay through Wippet, you’re buying from different suppliers.

You can find all our suppliers here

Wippet is primarily for anybody working in care or healthcare. Any business, small or large, can buy from Wippet. You can buy from Wippet as a guest or you can register here.

You only register if you want to. You can use Wippet as a guest any time, but if you choose to register we will be able to keep you updated about new suppliers, products and offers. Plus, after registering you will find Wippet a little easier to use: for example a quicker check-out, and other features such as repeating routine orders at the click of a button in My Account.

Placing an order

You can either use the search bar at the top of the page or the menu of categories just below it to find the product or service you want to buy. Then click on the product to see it in detail and then click “Add to Basket”. When you have found everything you want and put them to your basket, click on your basket icon at the top of the page and then follow the instructions through to checkout. Once at checkout, you can review your order, change quantities and select delivery. Then follow instructions for payment, and you’re done.

Once you have placed an order, it will be confirmed to you by email. In that email there will be details of how to contact the supplier for each order if you need to. You will also find all the details of your orders on the site by clicking “My Account”, at the top of the page.

Deliveries and returns

Delivery costs vary and they are calculated at checkout. Many suppliers have free delivery if you reach their minimum order values. We calculate your delivery costs at checkout because we automatically collate the different items to the suppliers you’re buying them from to keep your delivery prices as low as possible. Where there are choices of delivery times and costs, they’ll be shown at the checkout, too.

Delivery times vary by supplier, but they are all indicated on the product pages or delivery options and prices will be listed at the check-out.

Once you have signed in, click on My Account at the top of the page. Then click on My Orders at the top of the column on the left-hand side and you’ll find all your orders listed by date. Just click on the order to see its status.

If you have placed an order in error or you want to cancel for any other reason.

Yes, we would be very happy to hear your suggestions. If you have a supplier you’d like to see on Wippet, just send us your details and those of your supplier and we’ll contact them about it. You can contact us about suppliers here.

Wippet checks every supplier before allowing them to sell their products and service in our marketplace. These checks include various insurance policies, DBS checks where required and other policies and commitments. You can find more details of our supplier checks here.

Any supplier on Wippet that is required to enter customers’ premises must confirm that they have updated their DBS requirement for all staff going on-site and keep their DBS status up-to-date every two years. But that’s just one of many checks we carry out on all our suppliers. You can find out more here.

Delivery, returns and cancellations

Wippet suppliers deliver everywhere in the UK.

Any products that are available with express delivery will indicate that option at checkout.

Each supplier has its own returns, which you’ll find here Returns Page.

Our suppliers are regularly checking their stock levels and items out of stock will be indicated. In the unlikely event that you can place an order that’s out of stock, the supplier will notify you directly and propose an alternative product, advise a later delivery date or cancel the order – whatever you prefer.
