Pine furniture will have knots and other natural features in the timber which is a natural characteristic of the wood and will not compromise the strength of your furniture. This bench has been dip treated with a preservative to protect it and extend its life-span. Your bench can be used immediately and left outside in all types of weather.The bench can be used in its natural state or it can be painted or stained. It is recommended that a water repellent preservative is applied at the end of summer and then annually to maintain the natural appearance and stop mould forming during cold and wet months, but this is optional as your bench can be easily cleaned using just soapy water.
